Obituary for Richard Earl "Rich" Jameson II

Richard Earl Jameson II of Springfield, Missouri went to be with the Lord at 52 years of age on October 26, 2022. He will be sorely missed by family and friends in Springfield as well as Camdenton, Missouri and Greensboro, North Carolina.

Rich, as he liked to be called, was a very personable, generous, and caring person. He was happiest when he caused his companions to laugh with something he said. His sense of humor covered multiple subjects. He laughed a lot, often at himself. To know Rich was to like him.

Rich was born October 28th, 1970 in Rolla, Missouri and attended schools in Camdenton and Columbia, Missouri. He graduated from Camdenton, Missouri High School in 1988.

Rich is survived by his father Richard E. Jameson I and his wife Diane of Greensboro, North Carolina. Half-brothers Eric Jameson, Brian Jameson (Brandy) and Chad Jameson (Christina). Step-brother Kyle Rasmussen (Kate) and step-sister Jen Black (John). Uncles Spencer Jameson and Bill Jameson (Ramona) and an aunt Marie Graham (Al).

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Bill and Gladys Jameson; an uncle Benny Jameson and an aunt Nancy Hall (Ed who survives).

Also surviving is Rich’s loving grandmother, Ms. Gloria Holley and a very special aunt Denise Holley Carter (Michael) all of Springfield, Missouri.

Preceding him in death, his mother, Diane Holley Jameson and an uncle Donald Holley, Jr. (Jean who survives). Special mention should be made of his grandfather, Dr. Donald Holley, Sr., for whom Rich always had great admiration and respect.

A memorial service will be held November 5th at 2 p.m. at Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home: 500 E Walnut, Springfield, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Southwest Humane Society, 3161 W. Norton Road, Springfield, Missouri 65803. https://www.swh.org/giving1.html
