Obituary for Rhonda Sue Short
Rhonda Sue (Matlock) Short, age 70, passed away the night of March 10th, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri from heart complications.
Rhonda was born on September 25th, 1950 in West Plains, Missouri. She attended West Plains schools and graduated MSU with a teaching degree. She dedicated her life to teaching and spent nearly thirty years of it as a Remedial Reading teacher in Everton, Fordland and DeSoto, Missouri. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, her cats, and her beloved friends and family. She was an avid gardener and bird watcher. She was dearly loved by all that knew her and her memory will forever live strong in us.
Rhonda Short is survived by her two sons, their spouses, and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Earl and Marjorie and her brother Jim. The service for Rhonda will be a private family service. Any memorial in her name the family wishes to be made to a Teachers Organization or Animal Shelter.
