Ramona Post, age 88, passed away Wednesday morning, March 6th, 2019 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield.

She was born December 17, 1930 in Kimballton, Iowa, the daughter of Einer Christensen and Carrie (Jensen) Christensen.

Ramona graduated from beauty college in the early 1950’s and pursued her career as the owner of “Ramona’s Beauty Salon” in Council Bluffs, Iowa. In the late 1980’s Jack and Ramona moved to Springfield, Mo. where they stayed active in real estate rental properties, for the rest of their lives.

She is survived by her older sister, Harriet Hallinan of Kansas City, MO.; her five children, Dennis and Belinda Anstey of Ottumwa, IA., Kathy Henry of Springfield, MO., Dan and Sue Ford of Audubon, IA., Mike and Janice Post of Bay City, TX., and Jeff and Lisa Kahler of Springfield; numerous grand-children and great-grand-children.

Ramona is proceeded in death by her husband, Jack; and a son-in-law, Bart Henry.

You are leaving us with a lot of fun stories and a lot of great memories. The cool thing about dying is “we know where you are, and you know who you are with.” Praise God and give Dad a kiss for us. We love you and know you are resting in peace.

To Our Family and Friends; Perhaps you send a lovely card or sat quietly in a chair. Perhaps you sent a funeral spray, if so, we saw it there. Perhaps you spoke the kindest words, as any friend could say; perhaps you were not there at all, just thought of us that day. Whatever you did to console our hearts, we thank you so much whatever the part. From the family of Ramona Post
