Obituary for Paul Hugh Johnston
Paul H. Johnston, age 56, passed away on Sunday, February 7, 2021.
He joined the National Guard in 1982 before graduating from Hillcrest High School the class of 1983. Paul served in the National Guard for four years. He worked for Tracker Boat, then as a truck drive and finished his career working at Doing Steel Warehouse in Springfield.
Paul loved fishing, golfing, wood working and spending time with his family. He was a beloved husband, son, dad, stepdad, and brother.
He was preceded in death by his two sisters, Sherry L. Criger and Stormetha L. Criger.
Paul is survived by his wife, Sonya Johnston; two stepdaughters, Brianna Zaiss and Sabrina Zaiss; his daughter, Athena; mother, Sue C. Davis; and his sister, Cora Winder.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 6-8pm on Saturday, November 13th, 2021 at Fire Station #5 Community Room, 2750 W. Kearney in Springfield, Missouri.
