Obituary for Melinda Ann Cook

Melinda Ann Cook, 48, passed away peacefully in her home in Stockton, MO, after a courageous battle with Glioblastoma. She was surrounded by family and close friends.

Melinda was born March 4, 1971 in Defiance Ohio, she graduated from Shawnee High School in Wolfe Lake Illinois and attended Gateway College of Evangelism.

She worked several years as a manager for Christian Bookstores.

Melinda was married to Kenneth Cook on August 16, 1997, in Cape Girardeau Missouri. Ken was her best friend, her confidant, her strength, and her partner in life for 22 years.

Melinda is survived by her husband and their two sons Quentin and Zachary.

She is also survived by her mother, two brothers and a half sister.

Besides spending time with her family and friends, Melinda had a passion for healthy eating and healthy living. Melinda had a bright and energetic personality and was known for her ability to sense when people needed her help. She touched many lives with her generosity and passion for life.

She was a beloved mother completely devoted to her boys. They were the light of her life, the breath that she breathed.

Melinda was so full of love and compassion for everyone and that is why she is so LOVED!

Visitation will be 11 am to 12 pm. Service is at 12 pm.

Everyone is invited to join the family for a meal in the fellowship hall following the service.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Quentin and Zachary Cook’s college expenses.
