Obituary for Marinus "Rick" Van Lent

Marinus (Rick) Van Lent, 62, passed away on Sunday, March 20th, 2022, at home following a year long battle with cancer.

Rick was born on October 30th 1959 in Long Beach, CA to Marinus and Cornelia Van Lent. He was the second of three children.

In 1996 Rick met his future wife, Pat, and the two wed on June 9th, 1997. Rick had a love for animals and during their time together they rescued fifteen dogs and one cat.

Rick worked for years hauling exotic cars. He owned his own transport company, Auto 1 Motorsports. In 2016 he retired from the business and decided he’d like to sell cars. He found his home at Youngblood Auto. Even during his illness, Rick courageously continued to work as often as he was able too.

Rick is proceeded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Pat, his children Shelley, Mindy, Chris and J.W., grandkids Chandler, Cole and Adison, sisters Mary Ann and Lia, along with numerous other family and friends.

Although Rick is no longer here, he will forever be in our hearts.

Until we meet again……
