Obituary for Macy Marlene Cendroski

Macy Marlene Cendroski, 8 years old
March 28, 2014, to August 22, 2022

On Monday morning, August 22, 2022, Macy Marlene Cendroski was called home to begin her eternal life. She is free from the constraints and pain in this world, and surrounded by the peace of heaven. She is healthy, and rounding up the chickens in the fields of gold like the beautiful child she was created to be.

Macy was born in Springfield Missouri. She resided in Republic with her family where she was a second grader at Price Elementary. She is survived by her parents, Eric and Lindsey; her sisters, McKenzie and Maddie; Grandpa Richard Ravera; Uncle, Timothy Cendroski and his wife Harmony; Aunt, Andrea Voelker and her husband Ronnie, Aunts, Jordan Ravera, and Jamie Hewitt; cousins, Molly, Raylee, Wyatt, Savanah, Jackson, Jeremy, Jack, Kate, Payton; God Parents, Bret and Natalee Kauffman; special friends, Brenley, Annabelle, Juliet, and Allie; everyone at Price Elementary, a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A special thank you is extended to the St. Louis Children’s hospital and their entire staff for the excellent care and love they showed for Macy over the last two years.

Macy was welcomed at the Gates of Heaven with open arms, and what we can imagine only to be the most joyous reunion filled with so much love by her grandparents J.R. (Papa Jim) and Sandy Cendroski (Mee-Maw), Sidney Ravera (Nana), and Grandpa Ron Garrett; Great Aunt Judy Allcock; Great Uncle, Pat Cendroski, Cousin, Travis Allcock and a special friend, Paula Freeman.

Macy was a constant reminder of so many miracles. She was a blessing with her presence, bright smile, and her relentless ability to always find the positive. Remarkably, at 8 years old, she always found joy in the ordinary. Macy loved the outdoors! Whether she was at the lake with family, swimming at Aunt Joni and Uncle Phil’s pool, going to get ice cream with McKenzie and Maddie, watching The Bold and Beautiful with her mom, or at home dancing the jig with her dad and Uncle Bret around the bonfire, Macy was the light that always shined! She loved to dance around the fire, admire the moon, ride the school bus and go to school, tease her sisters, read, play games, and hang out with her friends and family. She loved her dog, Abby, the chickens and cows, frogs and butterflies, the St. Louis Cardinals, and the Kansas City Chiefs.

In so many things we take for granted, like the outlook that we “have to do something”, Macy’s perspective was that she “got” to do things. May we all take a lesson from Macy to always choose joy and always choose happiness. She made it contagious.

Macy was instantly loved by all that met her! Our joys will be greater, our love will be deeper, our lives will be fuller because of the moments that Macy shared with us all during her short time on earth.

A visitation will be held Saturday, August 27 th, 2022, from 5:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. at Herman Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut St., Springfield. There will be a short prayer service at 5:30.

Macy’s favorite color is blue, as she says it’s “because that’s the color of our eyes, dad” and her favorite two flowers are White Daisies and Red Roses. Let’s fill the chapel with beautiful flowers of all kinds. Wear blue or something colorful if you’d like, to honor our sweet angel, Macy Marlene.
