Obituary for Linda Sue Faucett

Linda Sue (Hannah) Faucett, 68, passed away on Monday, July 18th at her home after battling ovarian cancer. Linda was a fun-loving wife, mom, grandma, sister, and aunt. She was known for lighting up a room when she entered and making friends easily.

Linda was born March 19, 1954, in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Thomas Hannah and Marjorie (Ackelson) Hannah Nelson. Linda moved with her family from Des Moines to Springfield as a teenager, graduating from Parkview High School in 1972. Alongside her husband Floyd Faucett, she helped run a successful concrete construction business for many years and volunteered with him at various Sertoma events like the Chili Cook-off, Duck Race Festival, and Wingapalooza (organized by Heart of the Ozarks, 4C, Springfield, and Queen City Sertoma Clubs.) She loved watching almost every sport, but especially the Kansas City Chiefs. She was quick to smile and laugh and was her grandson’s biggest cheerleader.

Linda was preceded in death by her father Thomas Hannah and her brother TJ Hannah. She is survived by her husband Floyd Faucett; her daughter Jennifer (Knouff) Johnson and husband Carl; her grandson Callum Johnson; her mother Marjorie Nelson; her sister Sheryl (Hannah) White; her sister Debbie (Hannah) Crocker and husband David; her nephew BJ Crocker; and several extended family members.

Per Linda’s wishes, no visitation or memorial services will be held. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Linda’s honor to the Ronald McDonald House Charities’ Tooth Truck (https://rmhcozarks.org/donate/tooth-truck/)
