Obituary for Levi Garrett Anderson

Levi Garrett Anderson, 38, of Springfield, MO saw God’s face on March 15, 2021.

Levi was born September 9, 1982 in Dodge City, KS, and his sister popped out 10 months later. When both of his parents remarried, he inherited five bonus siblings and a massive extended family. He continued to collect loved ones throughout his life as his roots spread wide. Growing up, Levi enjoyed Nerf guns and video games, spending money on collectibles and comic books, and pestering his sisters. He began to find his own unique style in high school where his interests included art photography, cross country and being a yell leader. Levi joined the United States Army in 2002 as a Chaplin assistant and completed two tours in South Korea.

In 2012 Levi graduated from Ozarks Technical Community College in graphic design. He found the love of his life Kendra Steen and spent 8 blissful years with her, traveling the USA, never taking their time for granted. They married in a beautiful ceremony in 2020; even the cows expressed their congrats.

Levi had the kindest heart despite his tough exterior. Levi had an undeniable magnetism that allowed him to make friends literally anywhere and everywhere he went. He maintained an impressive collection of memorabilia, rivaled only by his passion. Even more so when discussing the passions of others, something he never forgot about a person. He loved music and films, always having a new recommendation for both. He was the definition of reliable, always willing to lend a hand and a smile whenever asked. For these reasons, and so many more, Levi will be forever missed. A person so compassionate and so earnest is rare, and anyone lucky enough to have known him would agree. It truly was his world, we were simply living in it.

Levi was preceded in death by his grandparents Richard Eversole, Leroyce Israel, Harry & Margaret Wirsig; uncles Kory Anderson & Mark Israel; sister Sally Colbert.

Levi is survived by his wife Kendra Anderson; his parents, Tanya Eversole, Kurtis & Sherry Anderson, Dodge City, KS; grandparents, Evelyn Israel, Fort Dodge, KS, Eyler & Delores Anderson, Salina, KS, Delores Eversole, Dodge City, KS; brother Hal Anderson and wife Megan, Overland Park, KS; 4 sisters, Chelsea Donlay and husband Pete, Hays, KS, Kirby Anderson, San Francisco, CA, Trisha Martinez, Dodge City, KS, Renee Crittenden and husband Andy, Garden City, KS; 7 nephews; 5 nieces and so many loved ones.
