Obituary for Lawrence Patrick "Larry" Scheid
Lawrence “Larry” P. Scheid, age 71, of Springfield, MO passed away Friday, Oct. 21, 2022.
He was born September 8, 1951 in St. Louis, MO the son of Lawrence W. Scheid and Marlene G. Scheid.
Larry was a Navy veteran and graduated from Oklahoma State University, January 1984 with the degree, Associate of Technology.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church and fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church Wednesday, October 19, 2022.
Larry had a special love for animals and pets. He was an astronomy enthusiast, he also enjoyed gaming and spending time with his family.
He was a dedicated son, brother and loving uncle to many.
Larry’s father, Lawrence W. Scheid passed away prior to Larry’s death and is survived by his mother, Marlene, 91 of Springfield. He is also survived by his two brothers, Brant Scheid, Glennon Scheid and his wife Sherrie and their son Michael. Surviving him is his sister; Laura and husband Kurt Newman and their children; Katherine Newman; Shaun and his wife Varuni Hilton, their daughter Oona; Danny Hilton and his daughter Kinsley; Stephanie and her husband James Cunningham; their children Katie, Bridget, Nathan and Courtney; Kallei and her husband Logan High; their daughter Klaira and son Kaegen. Also surviving is his youngest sister; Jennifer and her husband Tony Taylor and their children; Nicholas Taylor, Brandon and his wife Rebekah Taylor and their children Theodore, Beau and Camille.
Visitation will be at Immaculate Conception Church, Friday Oct. 28 at 10:30 a.m. with Mass to follow at 11:30 a.m. under the care and direction of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in Springfield where full Military Honors will be rendered.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Rescue One, 1927 E. Bennett Suite B Springfield MO, 65804.
