Obituary for Lamont Williams
Mr. Lamont Williams, age 62 of Springfield, Missouri passed away on Friday, May 8, 2020 at James River Care Center in Springfield, Missouri.
He was born April 28, 1958 in St. Louis, Missouri, one of six children, of Faryene S. Williams, Sr. and Emma (Jones) Williams.
Lamont received his education and High School Diploma from the St. Louis Public School System. He then went onto college to receive his Bachelor’s Degree from Drury University in Springfield, Missouri.
He worked for Kraft Food in Springfield, Missouri prior to his retirement.
Lamont leaves to mourn his brothers and sisters, Cleveland Jones and his wife Cassandra, Ethel Time, Faryene Williams, Corene Braxton and her husband Jerry, and Maurice Williams. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends, including two incredibly special friends, Teresa Wilson and Flo Williams.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Faryene and Emma Williams and a brother, Fredrick Williams.
Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic his graveside service will be privately held at Calvary Cemetery in St. Louis, Missouri where only a limited amount of family will be attending per the St. Louis County Health requirements.
