Obituary for Kimberly Lynn Newsome

We celebrate the life of Kimberly Lynn Newsome.

February 1st 1959- February 6th 2022.

She was born February 1st 1959 to Patricia L McCracken in St. Louis Mo.

She and her mother were very close throughout the years. She was united in marriage on November 18th 1978 with Edgar Newsome. They moved from St. Louis to Salem Mo to raise their children. They had 43 years together and 5 children and 8 grandchildren.

Anyone that knows Kim, she was affectionately known as Mimi to those she adored most, her grandchildren. Trenton, Chloe, Ethen, Alex, Isaiah, Noah and Natalie. Kim was known for her love of family. Especially her grandchildren, she was a doting Mimi family always came first. She as well loved the color purple “If I could paint the world purple I would.” She had each home she owned throughout the years painted purple by Ed as well as mailboxes and her truck.

She was well known in the cat community, as she loved her Himalayan Persians, but was most definitely a All-and-All cat lover. She was feisty and stubborn as they come, and loving and always giving. She would always help especially family in anyway she could. “That’s what family does, help each other where you can.” She was a woman of strong faith. She is so dearly loved and missed. She would remind us in challenging times “This too shall pass.”

She is preceded in death by daughter Krystal Enloe and granddaughter Guinevere Dominque.

She is survived by husband Ed Newsome, daughter Emily Newsome, son Micah Newsome all of Lebanon Mo, daughter Sarah Dominque, Austin Tx, and daughter Stephanie Newsome Nixa Mo, her mother Patricia McCracken Rolla Mo and one sister Jennifer Milligan Salem Mo, and 7 grandchildren. She is at peace with our Lord and Savior. Until we met again Mimi.
