Obituary for Julie Ann Davis (Carter)

Julie Ann Carter was born April 1, 1958, at Baptist Hospital to parents, Carl and Janice, of Springfield, Missouri.

She grew up in Springfield and as a child she liked to draw and sing. Her favorite toy was a tape recorder and there are tapes of her singing throughout her life for her family to enjoy. Julie loved to spend time with her family. She especially loved visiting her Grandma Bertha and would often spend the night with her. She went to Portland Elementary, Jarrett Junior High, Parkview High and graduated from Hillcrest Highschool in 1976, where she made many friends. Soon after she met Ray Davis to whom she was married to for 12 years. They had 2 children, T.J. Davis II, of Austin, Texas and Amanda Willaby of Strafford, Missouri.

There were many changes in her life. She worked hard at several different places including Positronic, G.E., and most recently, Price Cutter, until she was unable to due to her illness. She would often mention how much she enjoyed re-connecting with friends who would come into the store that she had not seen in many years. She made many trips to St. Louis University Hospital in hopes for a cure. Julie grew up in a family that liked to sing and play music. That must have rubbed off on her because she developed a love of jumping up on stage and singing karaoke. She had several pets throughout her life. Some of her hobbies included sketching, oil painting, and planting flowers that would attract butterflies and hummingbirds to her yard. She cherished spending time with her grandkids and watching them play sports and do activities.

Julie is preceded in death by her beloved Father, Carl Carter.

Besides being greatly missed by her son, T.J.; daughter, Amanda; son-in-law, Mike; grandchildren, Riley and Harrison; her mother, Janice; sister, Carla; uncles, John R. and Darl; aunt, Carolyn, and many nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by countless other family members and friends she made along the way.
