Obituary for Judy Kay Shockley (Williams)

Judy Kay Shockley was born May 28th, 1952. She went to be with the lord December 11th, 2021, following a long illness.

Judy was a loving wife and mother, and always made sure her family was taken care of. She enjoyed watching her Soap Operas and singing to Gospel music. She was a woman of faith and a devoted Christian. She was the rock of the family and their biggest supporter. She loved all her fur-babies, but her greatest joy was her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Judy is proceeded in death by her mother, Emma Louise Williams, an infant brother, Timothy Lee Williams, two grandchildren Joshua Tindle and Devon Tindle.

Judy is survived by her best friend and loving husband of 44 years, Virgil Eugene “Butch” Shockley; her father, Cecil Ivan Williams; five brothers, Michael James Williams, Randy Allen Williams and wife Jeanette, Danny Wayne Williams and wife Joy, Richard Cortez Williams, and Larry Dean Williams; four children, Cecil James Williams and wife Misty, Katrina Kay Lachney and husband Brad, Darrin Tindle, and Daniel Eugene Shockley and wife Amy. She was a grandmother to nine grandchildren: Bradley Lachney, Bailey Shockley, Nicole Shepard, Trae Vineyard, Summer Vineyard, Chloe Williams, Jacob Tindle, Alycia Shockley, and Brandon Farr. She also was blessed with seven great grand babies: Grayson Daniel Shockley, Hudson Ray Lachney, Blake Shepard, Brandi Shepard, Gary Gillison, Arrianh Gillison, and Tyson Gillison; and a host of stepchildren, step-grandchildren, a large extended family, and many friends with whom all will miss her dearly.

A Visitation will be held at 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, December 15th, 2021, at Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home: 500 E. Walnut Street Springfield, MO 65806.

The Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm, Thursday, December 16th, 2021, at Herman H. Lohmeyer Chapel, with Pastor Marion Gonsalez presiding over services. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Springfield, MO.
