Obituary for Judith A Picard

Judy Picard passed away peacefully on September 1st at her Marshfield, MO home, surrounded by her family after a long battle with cancer. She was 83. She was born December 20, 1938 to parents Irma and Alfred Dean, now deceased. She married her husband, Charles Picard on May 4, 1992 in Kane County, IL.

Judy was an avid gardener and was very proud of her seasonal flowers. Judy was the hostess with the mostest. She was always the life of the party and lit up the room when she walked in. She loved setting an elegant holiday table for family and guests. Home décor was another of her specialties, It came naturally to her. She had an artistic side as well, enjoying card making and embroidery. She loved to travel with her husband, Chuck. They explored many countries after retiring from their respective careers at Motorola.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her three siblings, Keith Porch, Margie Elrod and Ruth Hinnen. Judy is survived by her husband Charles Picard, two daughters Leann Banaszek (Charlie) of Eureka Springs, AR and Lisa Schumann-Kirsch (Robert) of Grayslake, IL and stepson Matthew Picard of Brodhead, WI, 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, as well as several nieces & nephews. She was a loving wife & mother. She was loved deeply by all knew her. She will be greatly missed.

She just wanted to dance.

A short service & celebration of life will be held at 10:00am, September 10, 2022 at St. Marks United Methodist Church, 117 N. Elm Niangua, MO., with a potluck luncheon to follow.

In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to the American Cancer Society in her name.
