Obituary for Judith Ann Bess (Richardson)
Our beloved Judith Ann (Richardson) Bess went to see her Lord on Sunday evening, June 25, and she was ready. Judith’s Christian faith was strong. It sustained her through many of the toughest situations one may ever face in this life. It was demonstrated through her kindness and compassion for others; and also by her trust and testament that God will and “has always provided.” We will miss her gentle ways. Judith was a devoted mother and grandmother, a trusted friend, a special lady, and those who knew her will be always and forever grateful we did.
Judith was the mother of the late Lawrence Charles Bess and grandmother of the late Jeff Harley Bess. She loved them with all of her heart. Judith was born June 9, 1939 to Bernice and George Richardson in Norridge Park, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Georgine Sciarroni and Marilyn Torbick, also Charles L Bess, Jr., mother-in-law Sophie (Smalec) Bess, father-in-law Charles L Bess, Sr., sister-in-law Donna (Bess) White, and nephew Earl White, Jr.
Judith is survived by her brother-in-law Earl White, Sr., nephews and niece Cameron, Curtis, and Carla Dalili, Kim and Charlie Bush, and many, many close friends.
Memorial graveside services will be at 10 am Friday June 30, 2023 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Tom Humphrey officiating under the care of Herman Lohmeyer Funeral Home.
