Obituary for Judie Ann Long (Deckard)

Judy Ann Deckard Long was born on June 5, 1945 in Springfield Mo. to Elmer and Eva Deckard. Judy was the 10th of 12 children.

She parted of this world on April 22, 2020 after a short illness, family was by her side.

Judy married Billy (Buster) Long, they had 3 children Ronnie, Doug, and Sheila.

Judy is survived by her sister Wanda (Delmar) Jarvis of Monett, Missouri, Son Ronnie (Connie) Long of Springfield, Missouri, Daughter Sheila Smith (Eric Gasa) of Clever, Missouri. Doug Long (Liberty) of Springfield, Missouri.

She is also survived by her 18 grandchildren: James Agee, David and Megan Smith, Billy and Luisa Smith, Michael and Heather Long, Aaron Long, Amy R, Chelsie Byrom, Bill and Vivian Law, Eric Z. Gasa, Andreus Gasa, Kylee and Issac Ewideh, James Byrom, Jesieree Byrom; 6 great-grandchildren: Montana, Mason, Christopher, Cooper, Lucy, and one on the way.

In September 1991 at the age of 46, she enrolled into the 1st semester of Ozark Community College. While attending OTC she was honored to be listed on the Dean’s list.

Judy’s greatest passion was her family and close friends. She had an unconditional love for all.

She had over 150 nieces and nephews that goes to the fourth-great and always looked forward to the annual Elmer Deckard Family Reunion.

She was the family rock and will be greatly missed.

Due to the Corona Virus, there will be a private graveside service on April 27, 2020, for her immediate family at Clear Creek Cemetery Springfield, Missouri, with Reverend Jeremy Wilson conducting the service.

Flowers are being accepted.
