Obituary for Jeffrey Emerson Snowden

Jeffrey Emerson Snowden, age 57, of Springfield, Missouri passed away suddenly in his home of a heart attack on Thursday, January 24, 2019.

He was born on September 6, 1961 in Springfield, Missouri, the son of Ralph J. Snowden and Naomi F. (Stout) Snowden.

Jeffrey was a graduate of Greenwood where he lettered in football. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the United States Air Force and served his country honorably from 1980 to 1985.

Upon his discharge from the military, he worked for Ozark Maintenance Company. He then was employed by Mexican Villa in management and recently received special recognition for 20 years of outstanding service. Jeff was well loved and had many friends. He did not hesitate to give help and support to those needing it. He was also an avid and faithful Kansas City Chiefs fan.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Christy; his son, Emerson; his parents, Ralph & Naomi Snowden; and his brother, Steve Snowden.

He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Sonja; his sister, Shauna; and a nephew, Jonathan.

Visitation will be held from Noon to 1:00 pm on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut Street, Springfield, Missouri.

Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday following the visitation at the funeral home.
