Obituary for Jeffrey Clark Hogan
Jeffrey C. Hogan, 55, of Springfield, passed away Monday December 23, 2019, in Cox South Hospital after suffering a heart attack in his home. He was born on April 16, 1964, in rural southwest Missouri.
Growing up he enjoyed sports, school, and participating at the local county sheltered workshop. Shortly out of high school Jeff moved to Springfield for more opportunities and began a work career that would span more than 30 years until his health declined. Jeff met many friends at his jobs, in his neighborhood, and while active in various community events. He had the most genuine, infectious smile and was inquisitive about everything, always ready with a question to ask you. He enjoyed being entertained, finding great joy in watching a wide variety of movies and shows, having a cup of coffee, and bowling with friends. Jeff’s greatest pride was his ownership of his house, showing his love for his home for over 20 years.
Jeff will be greatly missed by many for his unique sense of humor and wonderful power of observation.
Visitation will be held from 10-11am on Monday, December 30, 2019 at Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut Street in Springfield, Missouri. Graveside services will follow at 11:30am at Clear Creek Cemetery, 7600 W. Farm Road 108 in Springfield, Missouri with Pastor Gray Nordan officiating.
