In loving memory of Rev. James “Jay” Parker
July 11, 1961 – November 26, 2023
A beloved Father, Grandfather, Husband, Uncle, and Friend.

James passed away in Springfield, Missouri, on Sunday November 26, 2023, at the age of 62. James was born in Beebe, Arkansas on July 11, 1961. He was dedicated to his Lord and Savior, and to his family and friends. He loved helping people, and he loved to go to the Flea Market. He loved his service dog, “Sheba Girl”, and his other fur babies, “Badest Monkey” and “Little Bay Blue” and they all loved him very much.

He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, and caregiver through many years of sickness, Rhonda Parker. He is also survived by his sister, Donna Young; stepdaughters, Rebekah Gross, and Hannah Metcalf; stepson, Nathan Metcalf; grandsons, Sean Gross, and Evan Gross; daughter, Krystal Ivy and her children; niece, Angela Keeling; nephew, Devon Keeling; along with many other cousins, aunts, uncles, and Flea Market friends.

James is proceeded in death by his parents: stepdad, Donald Carter; mother, Laverne Carter; his stepdad who raised him, Don Tackett; along with his grandmas and grandpas.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
