James O. Black 89, Springfield, MO passed away on July 28, 2020 he was born on April 12, 1931. He was united in marriage to Juliet Hagale on April 25. 1953. James worked many years in the garment industry and retired from Hagale Industries, Salem MO in 1996. They relocated to Springfield in 2007 to be closer to family. During his retirement he spent time on woodworking projects and gardening. He also spent several years taking care of his wife Juliet during her declining health.

He was proceeded in death by his loving wife Juliet, one son Tony of Muskogee, OK, his parents Lyle and Loraine Black of Monett, MO, and two sisters Frances Carlin and Beverly Crain,

He is survived by his son Jim Black (Elaine) of Springfield, MO, his daughters Hazel Morris (Rob) of Holdenville, OK, Mary Gaines (Steve) of Bartlesville, OK, his daughter-in-law Tracy Black of Muskogee, OK, twelve grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.

There will be two viewings from 1 pm to 3 pm Friday July 31, 2020 and 1 pm to 3 pm Sunday August 2, 2020 in Herman Lohmeyer Funeral Home 500 E. Walnut St. Springfield, MO 65806.

A memorial graveside services will be held at 11:30 am Friday August 7, 2020 at the IOOF Cemetery 1537 N. 4th Street in Monett, MO with Fr. Rahab Isidor officiating.
