Obituary for Ione Myrtle "Scott" Gillespie
Ione Myrtle Gillespie, aka "Mama J", 57, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on Monday, November 16th, 2020.
She was born August 11th, 1963, in Yuba City, California, the daughter of Arron and Irva (Kover) Scott.
Ione was passionate about taking care of everyone and being their Mama J. She enjoyed sitting at the window and watching the sun set every evening. She liked butterflies, owls, doing puzzles and playing Bingo. Above everything else, she loved spending time with her family the most.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Arron and Irve; her son, Patrick Bauer; a brother, Earl Scott; the love of her life, Thomas Joseph Bauer; and a great grandson, Parker Moore.
Ione is survived by her three daughters, Maryann Hampton (Paul Andresen), Tiffany Moore (Chuck) and Rosemarie Bauer; grandchildren, Austin Bauer, Mikka Bauer, Jonathan Bauer, Chevy Bauer, Kaylalynn Moore, Jasmine Bauer, Kutter Moore, Jason Moore, Amanda Turner, Misty Goodman, Jeremy Moore, Dustin Moore, Levi Moore, Kyleigh Moore, Patricia Bauer, Koletyn Bauer, and Trevor Bauer; great grandchildren, Zendaya Bauer, Analee Martinez, Giovanni Martinez, Mollie Moore, Alexandria Moore, Candice Moore, Dylan Moore, Alisa Moore, Hailey Vankleek, Ashlyn Martin, Eli Martin, Searah Kidwell, Anthony Kidwell, Kendra Turner, Taylor Moore, Ryliegh Moore, Brantley Moore, and Oliver Moore; her significant other, Aca McDonald; her siblings, Shirley Ann, Frank (Charmine), Sharon, and Ola; many nephews and nieces, and a lot of extended family and dear friends.
A Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday, November 21st, 2020 at Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home: 500 E. Walnut Street Springfield, MO 65806.
