Obituary for Helen Marie McIlquham (Mroczka)

Helen Marie Mroczka McIlquham was born on June 17,1926 in Butternut, Wisconsin to Polish immigrants Katherine Zajac and Paul Mroczka.

She married Duane Robert McIlquham, Sr. on October 6, 1945. They had two children, Duane Robert McIlquham, Jr., and Amy Sue Fox.

Helen passed away peacefully in her home with her children around her on December 24, 2022.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 57 years, Duane; and her siblings, Jeanette, Theodore "Ted", Joseph, Josephine, and Constantine "Koch".

Helen is survived by her children, Duane, Jr. and Leslie (Poynter) McIlquham; Amy Fox; grandchildren Tiffanie (McIlquham) and James Grandon (great-grandchildren Amber (Grandon) and Brandt Price, Kimberlie (Grandon) and Evan Robison with great-great-grandchildren William Robison and Amelia Robison, Nathan and Tirsa (Englehardt) Grandon, Benjamin and Amanda (Zitting) Grandon, and Hannah Grandon), Ryan and Jasmine (Canlas) McIlquham (great-grandchildren Julia (McIlquham) and Matthew Pettit with great-great-grandchildren Freya Pettit and Eldin Pettit, Jacob, Evelyn, and Marcus), Robert and Amity (Berriault) McIlquham, Marguerite "Meg" McIlquham (great-grandchildren Molly, Kyle, and Tyler), Randall and Joycelyn (Canlas) McIlquham (great-grandchildren Katherine Josephina, Connor, and Chloe).

A Funeral Mass for Helen McIlquham will be held at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church on Friday, December 30th, 2022. Visitation will begin at 11:00 am, with the Funeral Mass at 12:00 noon. The casket will remain closed for the Visitation and Funeral Mass.

The family shares a special thank you to Faith Hospice of the Ozarks, Jeannie, Chris, Abby, Ember and Journey, Barbara, and Pastor Steve.

Private Inurnment will be at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri at a later date.

Arrangements are under the care and direction of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut Street in Springfield, Missouri.
