Obituary for Heather Anne Steiger (Tonne)
Heather Anne (Tonne) Steiger “Pixie” passed away on January 29, 2024 at her home in Republic Missouri.
She was born on October 22 1976 in San Francisco California.
Heather was born with a larger than life personality. Her capacity to learn helped her achieve many goals she would set for herself. She spent many years as cosmetologist.
Heather loved to crochet and craft. She made many treasured gifts for friends and family throughout the years.
Her greatest accomplishment was the family she built. Her son Drake Edward Steiger was the light of her life, together they added Charles Edward Steiger to their family on October 01, 2005 when she married her best friend and the love of her life. Drake added two grandchildren to their lives Micheal Edward Steiger and Gabrielle Anne Steiger, she was always quick to tell people about her beautiful grand baby’s and share any updates about their growth.
Heather was a fierce and loyal friend, she counted many friends among the family she built. She loved spending time with friends and family.
Heather bravely faced Multiple Sclerosis and fought with every ounce of strength she had. She built support communities on Facebook and shared her journey. Her strength and determination inspired everyone who shared any amount of time with her. She fearlessly overcame many obstacles MS put in her path.
Heather was in every way in-spite of her small stature larger than life, she was able to send everyone in to fits of laughter with her quick wit and humor.
Heather is survived by Charles and Drake Steiger, her mother Sharon Leslie, her siblings Michelle Roufs, Riq Quinteros and her favorite sibling of all Karrie Cocroft as well as her grand children and nieces, nephews.
She will be greatly missed. The love and knowledge she shared will continue to be a comfort for those who share in the grief of her passing.
