Obituary for Haron Von White

Haron Von White, age 90, of Portland, TN peacefully passed away at 1:00 am, June 10, 2022 at his home in Springfield, MO, surrounded by family.

Haron was born December 24, 1931, in the Corinth Community of Portland, TN to Robert and LuLa (Civils) White. He retired after 36 years with Pirelli Tires. Haron served faithfully in the church as a deacon for 61 years. He had a love for God and family that was exemplified in the life that he lived. Haron was a song leader in the church for 50 years and loved singing for the Lord. He happily served in numerous churches in various roles throughout his lifetime. He was a living legacy, leaving behind a heritage and a footprint in which others will strive to follow for many years to come.

In his spare time, Haron loved woodworking, building everything from cabinets to houses. He loved to watch football and basketball, play Spades, play with his grandchildren, and enjoyed traveling. He was generous with his time, talents, and treasure and those around him were always greeted with a smile.

Haron was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, James Allen and Robert, Jr., and one sister, Julia Pirtle; and his wife of 56 years, Mary Taylor White.

He is survived by his wife, Cathy White, his children, Jennifer Carpenter (Bill), Robin White (Devona) and Sunday Wildschuetz. Haron was blessed with six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren; Carly Jones (Andre) and her children, Dakotah Harvey (Tyler) and her children, Aubrey, Knox and Neyland, Jayli and Aaliyah; Casey Carpenter; Zach White (Lori) and his children, Taylor, Hannah Jo, Valerie, and Aaralyn; Journey Wildschuetz; Dawn Broadway (Kevin) and her children, Hollie Briley (Blake) and her children, Raven and Logan, Macie Meadows, and Eli Meadows; Amber Arnold (Andy) and her children, Emma and Aubrey. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Kingsway Free Will Baptist Church, 2615 N. Park, Springfield, MO 65802, at 4:30 pm on Saturday, June 11, 2022.

Haron chose cremation. He is under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut Street, Springfield, MO.
