Obituary for Gary Edward Ruble Jr.

Gary E. Ruble, Jr., 41, of Springfield, MO, went home to be with the Lord on April 13, 2024. He was born in Springfield, MO to Kim McDaniel and Gary Ruble, Sr., May 20, 1982.

Gary loved cutting people’s hair and wanted to open his own barber shop some day. Before leaving this earth, Gary was learning new skills in carpentry and working with his brother, Tim, building decks. Gary was also a sports fanatic. He could spew out sports statistics like it was nothing…any sport…in any given year.

Gary, “Fat Mac”, brought joy and laughter wherever he went. His contagious laugh could brighten even the darkest of days, and his jokes never failed to make you smile. He had a way of filling a room with his energy and leaving a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

We understood that Gary had struggles in his life, but we were very proud of how he was turning his life around. We will miss his infectious laugh, his awesome facial expressions that he always made, and his hugs, which were full of love.

He is survived by his mom, Kim Plemmons, daughters Wynter Creson and Madison Ruble, his brother Tim Ruble (Cherie), sisters Nicki Dickson (Donnie), Cheyenne Ruble and Caitlin Ruble, his Aunt Cheryl Patton (Marcus), his Grandmother Deane Barber (Bobbie), and a ton of cousins.

He is preceded in death by his dad, Gary Ruble Sr., and sister Angelique Ruble.

Services will be held on Saturday, April 20th at Herman Lohmeyer Funeral Home. The visitation service will begin at 1:30 pm, followed by a Celebration of Life at 3:00 pm. During the Celebration of Life service, the family is interested in hearing everyone's positive memories made with Fat Mac.
