Obituary for Francis Law
Francis Law, 87, Springfield, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, in Cox South Hospital.
He was born on August 25, 1936, in Kirksville, Missouri, to Glenn and Annabell (Scott) Law.
He was a graduate of Santa Rosa High School and attended Contra Costa College. He worked as a carpenter before joining the US Postal Service where he worked for 35 years in California.
Francis was known for his sense of humor and kindness, as his many friends will fondly remember. He loved to travel and in his retirement years, he always had a jigsaw puzzle going. He handled adversity with grace, having been afflicted by polio in infancy, but never let that stop him from a normal life. He was always there with a helping hand to anyone in need and will be deeply missed by those whose lives he touched.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sons Michael, James and Keith, and daughter Penny.
He is survived by his wife Margaret, his sister Kristine Zande, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
At his request, there will be no funeral service and if desired, memorial contributions may be made to any organization of the donor's choice.
