Obituary for Eviline Brenda "Ben" Dillon (Lynchard)
Eviline Brenda (Ben) Dillon,Springfield, passed away at 6:05 pm on Tuesday June 20, 2023 in her home with family by her side.
She was born September 7, 1948 to M. C. and Mary (Gossett) Lynchard in Doddsville, MS. She attended Belzoni High School in Belzoni, MS. She married Luke Timothy Dillon on April 16, 1967 in Greenville, MS. Brenda was a retired phone operator for AT&T where she worked for 38 years .
Brenda faithfully attended Fordland Freewill Baptist Church. She worked the prayer line for KWFC radio for 2 years. She was an avid bowler. She loved to go to garage sales and thrift stores.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 2004, a brother O.B. Lynchard, a sister Brenda Carson, her niece and her husband Vickie and George Ferguson.
She is survived by her sisters Bernice Rutledge of Yazoo city, MS; Corina Stafford and husband Robert of Tyler,TX; Audrey Austin of Lovelady, TX; Shirley Hughes and husband Bill of Lovelady, TX; and a brother James Lynchard and wife Betty of Vicksburg, MS. Her nephew Michael Hughes and wife Mary of Springfield, MO who cared for her in her final years. Also a host of other relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday June 23, 2023 at Green Hill cemetery in Fordland,MO under the care and direction of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home in Springfield, Missouri.
