Eugene (GENO) Johnson was born December 6, 1971 in Springfield, Missouri to Carolyn Jean O'Conner (Johnson).
Eugene departed from this life to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 23, 2018.
He was preceded in death by his beloved mother; Carolyn Jean O'Conner (Johnson); Grandparents; Jack and Mary Johnson, Nephew; Joseph Johnson Jr., Aunt; Ruby Pearl Johnson, Uncles; Ronald Johnson and Earl Johnson.
He leaves to cherish his loving memory three daughters; Tyra, Elle, and Kinley, one son; Devin, one brother; Joseph Lamont (Flo) Johnson (Dallas, TX), one sister; LaToya O'Conner (Springfield, MO), Step-Father; Darryle O'Conner (Republic, MO), two aunts; Wanda Johnson (Pocahontas, AR) and Melinda Johnson (Springfield, MO), one uncle; Kenneth Johnson (Owasso, OK) and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
He graduated from Parkview High School in 1990.
Eugene, a loving son, father, brother, cousin and friend, he was always full of life, enjoyed playing basketball, break dancing, and most of all spending time with his family, friends and his young children, he was and will always be greatly loved and missed by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 31, 2018 from 10:00-10:45 am at Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut Street, Springfield, Missouri. Eugene's funeral service will begin at 10:45 am in the Herman H. Lohmeyer Chapel. Burial will follow at Hazelwood Cemetery in Springfield. There will be a Repass at Tom Watkins Center, 2100 W. High in Springfield, Missouri.
