Obituary for Douglas M. Orton
Douglas Orton passed away on January 1, 2019.
He was born on February 20, 1956 to the late Bruce Orton and Oris (Hunt) Orton.
Douglas worked for many years as an accountant in New Haven, CT and Washington, D.C before moving to Corvallis, Oregon, where he taught violin for many years. Douglas won many fiddling contests in Branson & Barre, VT as well as Springfield, MO.
Doug was predeceased by his parents and siblings, Julie, David, Charles, Pamela & Jeffrey.
He is survived by his siblings Joel, Gary, Richard, Laurie and Verne as well as many nieces and nephews and special friends Joanie Extrom & Donna Winters and good friend Lawrence and best friend Robert Hutchinson.
A special thank you to his nurses Judy & Diane for the wonderful care that they gave to Douglas.
He touched many hearts and will be sadly missed by all. There will be no calling hours.
