Obituary for Donnell Dewayne Hubbard
Donnell Dewayne Hubbard born July 28, 1993, to Mary Mitchell and Donnell Hubbard in Hayti, Missouri. On July 15, 2020 at the age of 26 years young, he was called home by the lord.
In December 1996, as a child he moved to Springfield, Missouri where he attended Springfield Public Schools and later obtained his GED. All throughout his childhood, he played for various teams throughout the community. As an adult, he was all about family and putting smiles on everyone's face he encountered. His son, Tobias was the joy of his life! To know Donnell was to love him; and if you knew him you knew there was nothing anyone could tell him about basketball period.
He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Essie Calbert and Annie Hubbard; aunts, Tonnette Hubbard and Tammy Hubbard; uncles, Carl Hubbard and Larry Hubbard.
Donnell leaves to cherish his memories: mother, Mary Mitchell; father, Donnell Hubbard; fiancé, Kayla Brown; son, Tobias Hubbard; sisters, Shiquita Hubbard and Akeelah Hubbard; brothers, Demarcus Carter and Tavery Johnson; aunt, Mamie Allen; uncles, Jerry Hubbard and James Hubbard; nieces and nephews, R'eona Carter, Nyasia Carter, Kamora Russell, Demarcus Carter II, Dakyran Carter, and Donnell Carter and a host of cousins and close friends.
Funeral Services for Donnell will be at 12:00 pm, Saturday, August 1, 2020 at Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home located at 500 E. Walnut Street Springfield, MO 65806, with Reverend Willie Burkett presiding over the service. A Visitation will be held at 9:00 am until service time at the funeral home.
