Obituary for Donna Jean Meyer (Henning)
Donna Jean (Henning) Meyer left for her heavenly home on September 1st 2022 at her home after a brief illness.
Donna was born on October 8th 1953 in St . Louis Missouri to Arthur and Thelma Henning. Donna had a happy childhood, loving parents and siblings. She met the love of her life Jim Meyer and they were married on October 5th 1988. Donna was a Registered Nurse..a job she loved. She retired from St Mary's Hospital in St Louis in 2012. Donna was an avid reader. She loved to be by the ocean in Destin Florida in the winter. She also enjoyed classic cars and car shows. Winning many trophies!!! Jim and Donna moved to Springfield, Missouri in 2014 to start a new adventure in their lives.
In addition to her husband Jim, survivors include brothers Roger Henning, James Henning, brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, cousins. She had many special friends and neighbors.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Thursday, September 8th, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church 2200 W. Republic Road Springfield, MO 65807.
Funeral mass will be at 11:00 am, Thursday, September 8th, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church 2200 W. Republic Rd. Springfield, MO 65807, with Father Thomas Kiefer celebrant. Committal services will be at 10:30 am Friday September 9 th 2022 in Resurrection Cemetery, Springfield, MO.
