Obituary for Donald Carlos Little Jr.
Donald Carlos Little Jr., 65, of Brookline, Missouri passed away peacefully on Monday, November 30th, 2020 in Springfield, Missouri with his loving wife by his side.
He was born on October 21st, 1955 in Chicago, Illinois, to Donald and Rosemary Little. He married Debbie Spring, the love of his life, on May 23rd, 1987. Donnie gained two daughters at the time, Melanie and Crystal, and then his son, Daniel Little was born on March 23rd, 1989.
He was an avid gardener with a large antique toy collection, many ordered off ebay. Donnie was also a master storyteller who loved to play jokes and always enjoyed a good cigar sitting in the outdoors. Donnie could also be found watching old time movies such as Perry Mason, Sherlock Holmes, and cheesy Sci-Fi’s. His lifelong dream was to receive a fragile crate that held a leg lamp just like in the Christmas Story.
Donnie enjoyed taking road trips with his wife to find the biggest of anything, such as the largest rocking chair or the largest belt buckle on Route 66. He also enjoyed spending time with his cats, Jinxy and Rocky. Donnie was also the best Papa to his nine grandchildren.
Donnie is preceded in death by his father, Donald Little Sr.
Donnie is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Debbie Little; his children, Jon (Rachel) Greenwood, Jen (Brian) Geegan, Melanie (Danny) Barajas, Crystal Garges, Danny (Tom) Little; his grandchildren, Trinity, Tyler, Brandon, Brynna, Caitlin, Vinny, Hunter, Annabelle, and Chloe; his mother, Rosemary Little; his siblings, Donna (John) McCarthy, Linda Collier, Tracey (Bill) Gray, and Jane (Dan) Haughian, along with many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 pm on Tuesday, December 15th, 2020 at Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home: 500 E. Walnut Street Springfield, Missouri 65806.
