Obituary for Dolores Violet Vanderhoof (Eden)
Dolores Violet Vanderhoof passed away on March 26, 2023 after battling a short illness. She was 89 years old at the time of her death.
Dolores was born August 31, 1933 to Thomas Herman Eden and Dorothy Mulhall Edinger Eden in Indian Village Kansas. Dolores was born into Christian home and maintained her Christian faith until her death. Dolores went on to graduate from Field Kindley High School in Coffeyville Kansas in 1953.
Dolores was a devoted employee of Hiland Dairy in Springfield Missouri for many years. Dolores retired from Hiland to travel with her husband Bentley until his retirement a few years later. Dolores and Bentley had one son, Steven Vanderhoof.
In addition to her parents, Dolores was predeceased by a Brother William Glen Eden, who she always considered not only her brother, but her close and trusted friend. Bill passed away in 2003 and Sarah Elizabeth Vanderhoof a Granddaughter who passed away in 2006.
Dolores was survived by her husband of sixty nine years Bentley F. Vanderhoof, who was at her side until her passing, son Steven Vanderhoof, Daughter-In-Law Marlyne Vanderhoof , granddaughters April Vanderhoof and Ashley Findorff, great grandchildren Benjamin Vanderhoof, Brianna Marsch, Broderick Marsch, Cale Shehorn, Ireland Findorff and her close friend Jane Crab.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00am, Wednesday, March 29, 2023 at Eastlawn Cemetery, 2244 E. Pythian in Springfield, Missouri with Pastor Ron Robinson officiating.
