David W Johnson, "Dave, DJ" 62 went home to be with our Lord Jesus Christ, May 4th, 2022 in Springfield, MO.
David was born April 14, 1960 in Omaha, NE to Dwight and Myrna Johnson. His parents and brother Steve moved to Colorado where his dad Dwight was from.
David graduated from Brighton Senior High School He worked as a truck driver and then worked as a dispatcher for a plumbing and heating company.
David loved hunting, fishing, country music, rock n roll and Nascar. He was an avid Denver Broncos and Colorado Rockies fan. David was a member of the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.
David had an awesome sense of humor and loved to have conversations with everyone. With his vast knowledge of the Denver metro area, he would advise the best routes to take for ease of travel and knew where every manhole cover was.
He loved and cared for his family and friends endlessly.
David is survived by brother Steve Johnson (Debbie), sister Tracy Reily (Buddy), nieces Jasmine Fernandez (Tony), Tralynn Tolbert, great nephews Breck and Rad Fernandez, many friends and family.
David is preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 pm on June 4, 2022 at Christ's Community United Methodist Church: 2700 E 44th St, Joplin, Mo 64804.
