It is with great sorrow that the family of Danny Ray Brown born Aug. 29, 1952 in Springfield, MO announce his passing on May 15, 2021 in his hometown.

Danny graduated from El Monte High School in California then proudly served his country in the Marine Corps for 22 years. He had many great accomplishment during his military career which included being the youngest Marine to be promoted to MGySgt in less than 16 years of service.

He was a man of few hobbies, but would rather spend time with his family, helping others, go to the shooting range to maintain his excellent marksmanship, he took great pride in his work along with what he called his only “vice”...eating good food. Danny always showed a great amount of compassion towards others and will be terribly missed by so many.

He is preceded in death by his mother Helen, father Alvia, sister Marcia Burns and a daughter Lyndel.

He is survived by his wife Connie, his children and his grandchildren.

A Visitation will be held at 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Thursday, May 20th, 2021 at Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home: 500 E. Walnut Street Springfield, MO 65806. A Graveside Service will be at 10:00 am, Friday, May 21st, 2021 at the Ash Grove Cemetery in Ash Grove, Missouri 65604.
