Obituary for Connie Anita Tettamble (Gabriel)

Connie Anita Gabriel Tettamble of Springfield, MO, passed away at 10:15 AM on Saturday, February 11th, 2023 at Cox Hospital.

Connie Anita Tettamble (Gabriel) was born January 3rd, 1957 in Branson, Missouri the youngest daughter of Herbert O. Gabriel and Genevieve G. Gabriel (Wright).

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Gabriel M. Huff, sister Glenda S. Gabriel (Kelly) and brother Gale S. Gabriel.

She is survived by her husband Michael R. Tettamble Jr; daughter Jennifer B. Huff (Harms) and husband Luke Harms, son Michael R. Tettamble III and wife Katrina Tettamble, son Daniel A. Tettamble, grandchildren Lance and Kelsey Harms, siblings Marilyn Gabriel, Danny Gabriel, Donnie Gabriel, and Marcella Gabriel (Lewis), and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Connie had 4 children and was married for 38 years to husband Mike.

Connie was best known for her humorous attitude and her caring nature. She enjoyed playing cards with her family and was always the most competitive player at the table. She loved Sonic Iced Tea, baking, country and gospel music, afternoon Jeopardy and binge watching NCIS. She loved Fuji’s Japanese Steakhouse and home cooked Sunday morning breakfast with her family.

Connie enjoyed spending time with her daughter, son in law, and grandchildren in South Texas and the warm weather. She loved the outdoors, fishing, and spending time outside with her family. She loved attending sporting events and cheering on her kids and grandchildren. They were her favorite athletes.

Connie was an avid Chiefs fan and PGA Golf fan. Her favorite players were Travis Kelce and John Rahm. She enjoyed gardening and taking care of her roses and Hosta Garden during the spring and summer. She was the toughest person any of us has ever known.

Visitation will be from 6 pm to 8 pm Thursday, February 16th, 2023, with a rosary service beginning at 7:30 pm at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church: 2200 W. Republic Road Springfield. Funeral mass will be at 10:30 am Friday, February 17th, 2023 in the church, with Fr. Mike McDevitt and Fr. Tom Kiefer celebrants. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home.
