Obituary for Charles Emron "Ron" Day

Charles Emron "Ron" Day, born on July 25, 1940, in Brentwood, Missouri, passed on December 8, 2019. Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Fred H. and Dorothy C. Day and three brothers, F. Sidney, John E. and Lewis B.

Ron is survived by his wife, Lorraine M. Day of Springfield, Missouri and four daughters: Heidi L. Gordon (Robert) of Ft Hood, Texas; Kathleen M. Frerichs (Scott) of Nixa, Missouri; Constance E. Day (S. D'Wayne Adams III) of New Orleans, Louisiana; and Lauren M. Day (Kent Schnurbusch) of Nixa, Missouri. Ron is also survived by his sister, Neeta E. Allen (Roger) of Buda, Texas; 12 grand children and eight great-grand children as well as numerous extended family and friends.

Ron was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church of Springfield, Missouri. Ron received his bachelors degree in Civil Engineering at Arizona State University in Tempe, Arizona. Ron worked in construction for 40 + years and was an owner of 2 construction companies during his career. His job took him all over the United States.

Ron was an avid wood worker. He was a lover of all cars but his passion was for corvettes. Ron was a humble, loving person who never met a stranger and made friends wherever he went. He will be missed by all who loved and knew him.

A Visitation will be held at 9:30 am to 11:00 am on Friday, December 13th, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church; 2200 W. Republic Road Springfield, MO 65807.

A Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 am, Friday, December 13th, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, with Msgr. Thomas Reidy presiding over services. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Services are under the care and direction of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home in Springfield, MO.
