Obituary for Bruce William Dinsmoor, Sr.

Bruce William Dinsmoor, Sr., 75, passed away on the 25th day of April 2023 at his home in Springfield, Missouri.

Bruce was born in California to parents, Bill and Raeola Dinsmoor in 1948. He graduated from El Dorado High School in 1966 and attended college through the military. He was married to Jacqueline for the past 23 years and previously to the late Jeanette Johnstone.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served as a Missionary for the Central States mission in 1967. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and Active Army Reserves for a combined 22 years. He was memorable to everyone who met him for his original, unfiltered sense of humor. He enjoyed antiquing, bird watching, and genealogy. He loved God, his family, country and was an avid supporter of the U.S. Constitution and 2nd Amendment.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Bill and Raeola Dinsmoor.

He is survived by his wife, Jacqueline Dinsmoor; brother, Joe; sisters, Jeanette, Kathy, and Cami; his children with Jeanette, Michelle (Fred) Van Dover, Bruce (Helene) Dinsmoor, Jr., Michael (Melinda) Dinsmoor, Alicia (Brian) Barwick, Danny Dinsmoor, David (Lindsay) Dinsmoor; stepchildren, Juliet (Jesse) Legazpi, Kelly Vicente, Vance Vicente (deceased), Remi (Daryl) Pignone, Joseph (Angela) Vicente; 27 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

Graveside Services will be held at 1:00pm Friday, May 5, 2023 at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, 5201 S. Southwood Road in Springfield, Missouri where Full Military Honors will be rendered. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home in Springfield, Missouri.
