Obituary for Brianne Michelle Sewell
A beautiful light has left this world, and the world is much dimmer for it.
Brianne Michelle Sewell, 36, of Springfield Missouri, passed away November 8, 2023 in her home.
She was born March 21, 1987 in Springfield Missouri to Mark Sewell and Lisa (Burch) Sewell (now Gideon). She attended Rogersville schools and graduated in 2005.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Ed and Marie Burch, and her paternal grandmother, Jo Ann Sewell.
She is survived by her son Lucas Souder; her father and stepmom, Mark and Carol Sewell; her mother and stepfather Lisa and Mark Gideon; her sister Ashley and Josh Parent; her brother Jordan Sewell; her grandfather Norman Sewell; her long time boyfriend Luis Villalobos, as well as various cousins, nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, and a very long list of friends whose lives she deeply impacted.
Brianne had numerous medical issues from a very young age and really struggled in this life. Despite her struggles and trauma, she remained a loving, caring woman who would literally give you her last dollar, and would rescue small animals even if she physically didn’t have the strength. She impacted so many lives through her generous kind spirit and her intense love for her people and fur babies. And above all of this, she gave everything she could of herself to her son, Lucas, far beyond what seemed possible. He was her entire reason for living.
Visitation will be held on Friday, November 17th, 2023 from Noon-1:00pm at the Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut Street in Springfield, Missouri. Funeral Services will begin at 1:00pm in the Herman H. Lohmeyer Chapel with burial to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
