Obituary for Billy Selley
Billy Selley, 86 of Springfield Missouri passed away suddenly in his home at 7:00 a.m. Monday April 11, 2022.
Billy was born January 2,1936 in Logan County Kansas to William & Francis Selley. He Attended schools in Monument and Page City, Kansas and served his country in the United States Army.
Billy worked many jobs including the Railroads and Mingo Co-op Grain Elevator. He enjoyed garage sales, gardening and he never met a stranger and always had something to say about everything, including how he always wanted to look good when he was in his casket.
Billy was preceded in death by both his parents and Sisters, Darlene & Wilma and Brother, Bud.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years Virginia and their Daughter Julia and also His children of a previous Marriage Diana (daughter) & Martin Keim, Darvin(son) & Nelda Selley, And Son Randy Selley. And Step Children Lynn & Tami Goossen, Gayla & Alvin Alldredge, Kerwin Goossen. One sister, Ramona Weinland. Several grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 14, 2022 from 10:30am to 11:30am at Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut Street in Springfield Missouri. Funeral services will follow at 11:30am in the Herman H. Lohmeyer Chapel with Pastor Larry Ball officiating. Burial with Full Military Honors will follow at 1:00pm at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, 5201 S. Southwood Road in Springfield, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Briar Street Baptist Church in Springfield Missouri.
