Obituary for Billy Joe Jones
Billy Joe Jones, age 81, passed away peacefully August 14th, 2022 at his home in Springfield, MO.
Bill was born August 17th, 1940, in the Springfield, MO to William Seburn “Zeke” Jones and Nona Mae (Blakey) Jones.
He retired after 27 years from St. John’s Hospital. He had a love for God and family and had the kindest soul. In his spare time, Bill loved watching NASCAR and football, playing and listening to Country music, and making people laugh. He was generous with his time, talents, and friendship, he always greeted everyone with a smile or joke. If you needed something, and he had it, it was would be yours, with absolutely no hesitation.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, (brother) Robert L. Jones, and (sister) Wretha Mae “Jones” Morgan.
He is survived by his beloved daughter, Sunday Wildschuetz of Springfield, his companion of 20 years, Catherine Crain, his granddaughter, Journey Wildschuetz, his sisters, Betty Jensen (Alan) of Dover, Delaware, Loretta Fender (Mike) of Springfield, MO, brothers, Frank Jones (Peggy) of Galena, MO, and Jerry Jones of Springfield, MO. He also leaves behind numerous loved nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
A memorial visitation will be held at Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home: 500 E. Walnut Street, Springfield, MO, on Wednesday, August 17th, 2022 from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm.
Bill chose cremation. He is under the care of Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 E. Walnut Street, Springfield, MO.
