Obituary for Barbara Ann Johnson (Johnson)

Barbara Ann Johnson, 68, of Springfield, passed away on September 23, 2022, after a strong battle with Covid & Pneumonia.

Barbara was born on January 12,1954 to Bobby & Betty Johnson in Springfield, Missouri. After graduating from Central High School, she worked many long hours as a factory worker at G.E., Tyson, and Willow Brooke, until she became disabled.

She has 2 children, Josh Harris and Marta Johnson but had plenty of play sons and daughters. When Barbara had Joshua, she decided to dedicate her life to being a fantastic and wonderful mother. Barbara excelled at lifting up members of her family and supporting them through the many passions and difficulties of their lives. Whether that was letting them know she loved them, lending an ear, or offering them a place to stay. She made it her mission to improve the lives of others, it didn't matter if she knew you or not. Barbara was passionate about her grandkids, she would often dance with them laugh, joke, or even cry but never forgot a birthday. When she wasn’t filling her home with warmth and kindness, she could be found at the lake fishing or in the casino trying her luck. We will miss her greatly.

Barbara was predeceased by her father, Bobby; mother, Betty; sister, Lori Carter; brothers, Cecil Johnson, Tony Hancock.

She is survived by her two sons, Josh Harris (Mandy) and Marta Johnson (Danielle); 11 grandchildren, Nevaeh, Meya, Dayvion, Trayvon, Janeyshia, Zeyquan, Zayshia, Quinlan, Ava, Mya, Kya; three sisters, Brenda Brown (Tony), Bobbie Barnett (Bobby), and Kathryn Johnson (Ray); a brother, Joel Johnson (Debra); her fiancé, Michael Bradley, her aunt, Shirley Thomas, and so many nephews, nieces, cousins and other extended family.

A Visitation will be held at 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 8th, 2022, at Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home: 500 E. Walnut Street Springfield, MO 65806.
