Obituary for Anthony "Tony" Vincent Vossman

Anthony (Tony) Vincent Vossman, 47, passed away on July 1, 2022 in Springfield, Missouri.

Tony was born on September 20, 1974, and was happily adopted two weeks later by Daniel and Camille Vossman, living in Beloit, Kansas. He spent his younger years enjoying camping, fishing, and boating with his family. During his middle school years, he moved to Camdenton, Missouri, enjoying lake life and making new friends. While in high school, he worked at Michael’s, realizing his love for cooking. We always thought he would become a chef someday. Tony graduated from Camdenton High School in 1993.

Tony married Trista Farley on April 15, 2001. They had two amazing and beautiful children, Landon Anthony and Livy Camille. The family spent their early years living in Lincoln, Nebraska, while Tony worked as a manager at Walgreen’s. They later moved to Osage Beach, Missouri to be closer to family, and Tony continued working as a manager at Walgreen’s. Tony and Trista later divorced, with him then moving to Springfield, Missouri, where he finished his career in retail management at Menard’s.

Tony definitely had a love for being on the water, spending a lot of time at Glen Elder lake when he was a young boy, and then on the Lake of the Ozarks in his teen years and as an adult. He so loved fishing, and definitely caught his fair share of fish over the years. He also had a love for the St. Louis Cardinals. We have many fond memories of him in his Cardinals baseball cap.

The date of Tony’s passing was also the day his mother, Camille, would have been celebrating her 76th birthday. Others who passed before him were a sister Julie, his grandparents, Donald and Cecilia Vossman, and Steven and Helene VanSickle, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is survived by his children, Landon and Livy, his dad and stepmom, Daniel and Marti, a sister Jill Koch (Keith), a sister Amy Schwartze (Thomas), as well as many nephews, nieces, great-nieces, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A Graveside Service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, August 20th, 2022 at St. John's Cemetery in Beloit, Kansas. After the Graveside Service, the celebration will continue at the Knights of Columbus Hall which will include a meal. Please reach out to Jill or Amy if you plan to attend. Thank you so much.
