Obituary for Nancy Joan Steiner (McKee)
Nancy Joan Steiner, age 79, Springfield, Mo passed away 3:00 a.m., Thursday, August 18, 2016 in Brookhaven Care Center in Springfield.
She was born December 25, 1936 in St. Louis, Mo to William and Ellen McKee. She attended Washington University School of Nursing in St. Louis becoming a Registered Nurse then received a Bachelor’s of Science degree at Drury College. She worked as a respected Registered Nurse over 25 years in both hospitals and nursing homes. She married Don Steiner August 17, 1957 in St. James, Mo and was happily married 56 years. She enjoyed working her gardens, traveling and watching games of her beloved St. Louis Cardinals.
She is preceded in death by spouse, Don Steiner and son, Don Steiner, Jr.
Nancy is survived by children, Bob and Becky Steiner, David and Cindy Jackson, and Patty Steiner; and 6 grandchildren.
Memorial Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday August 24, 2016 in Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 2818 E. Bennett St. in Springfield.
