Linda Binder, 65 years, passed away peacefully on October 7th 2017 in Springfield, Missouri. Linda was born in Chicago, IL on July 17, 1952 to Leonard and Loris Fitzpatrick. A Nurse of 45 years, caring for others was her life’s work. She was also a great lover of travel and pets, spending time after her retirement volunteering and fostering animals for the Southwest Missouri Humane Society.

Linda is survived by her two children by John Binder; Kevin Binder of Springfield, Missouri and wife Holly; Kristen Spain of Fayetteville, North Carolina, husband Aaron, and grandchildren Austin, Kylee and Annabelle; friend and companion Dottie Powell of Springfield; and brothers Dann and Barry Fitzpatrick, both of Downer’s Grove, IL.

Visitation and Memorial Services will take place at Herman Lohmeyer Funeral Home 500 E. Walnut Street in Springfield Missouri on October 12th. The visitation will start at 4 p.m. with a Memorial Service following at 6 p.m. with Pastor Gena Maria officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Southwest Missouri Humane Society in her name.
