Rick was one of a kind. I loved him like a brother. Thru Stepping Stones I met Rick because he was over my son Levi. He did so, so many wonderful things for Levi and he knew Levi very well. When he first met Levi he was 9 yrs old and now Levi is 19. He made such a positive influence in Levi's life. I know he will get his reward on the other side. Levi and I will miss him much and we loved him. May his legacy of helping others live on thru people that knew and loved him. May he rest in peace. He was a mentor to Levi, my son. This is our tribute to Rick, he was a friend and a brother to me!!!!!!

Rick and I worked together since before Ricky was born and continued as friends after I retired. He was a positive person, spoke well of others, was a loyal friend and was always willing to lend a helping hand. Rick was a strong advocate for persons with disabilities. He shared his big smile, hearty laugh, sense of humor and his stories about Ricky who was the light of his life. I hope, Ricky, you will always feel your father's love around you and with you as your move through your life's journey.

Rick will be greatly missed. His eye's lit up when speaking of Ricky and I will miss those talks of how proud he has always been to be his dad. I had the privilege of working with Rick for a number of years at the Springfield Regional Office. Rick had a wonderful sense of humor, loved to play jokes, and could always make everyone laugh.
