Wilbur Augustus  Allen, Jr.
Wilbur Augustus Allen, Jr. 90 of Pleasant Hope passed away in his home on Monday Jan. 2, 2017. Wilbur was born Jan. 8, 1926 in Marysville, Missouri to Wilbur Augustus and Sybil Allen, Sr. Wilbur served in the U.S. Marines during WW II, he retired from Zenith Television after over 20 years of service. Wilbur loved his church, his friends and his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Buddy Joe and his wife, Freda. Wilbur is survived by his 6 sons and their spouses, Steve and Carol, Bob and Kathi, Tom and Marjorie, Chris and Charlotte, Larry and Paula and Bill and Pam; 22 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren; his brother James Allen; his sister Joanne Cruse and many other family members and friends.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday Jan. 5, 2017 in Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home. Funeral mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday Jan. 6, 2017 in St. Agnes Cathedral with Fr. Lewis Hejna celebrant. Burial with military honors will follow at 1 p.m. in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Vincent DePaul or the Kitchen.
