Obituary for Romeo A. Painter

Romeo A.  Painter
Romeo Painter, Springfield, moved to glory on November 14th, 2016 at home.

He was born on September 13, 1933 in Lahmansville, West Virginia to Alonzo and Virginia Painter. He served in the U.S. Army and later as Bodyguard to the Chief Justice of the United States before graduating from Baptist Bible College.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Una Painter: his parents: two sisters, Amelia Young and Jerolee Harris: and one brother, Wayne Painter.

He is survived by a sister, Elma Smith: and a brother, Fred Painter: three daughters and their families, Gerry, Karen, Madeleine and Mason True, Kathy, Luke, Isaac, Ava, and Levi Schettler, and Bill and Kim Gremminger.

Visitation will be from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, November 20, 2016 at Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 21, 2016 at Missouri Veterans Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grandview Missionary Baptist Church, 3208 N Barnes, Springfield, MO 65803
