Obituary for Jesse Bradley, Jr.

Jesse Bradley, Jr.
Jesse Bradley, Jr., 66, of Nixa, passed away Saturday, August 18, 2012 after a long battle with lung cancer. He was born November 1, 1945 in Union, Mississippi, the youngest son of Louise Bradley (Taylor) and Jesse Bradley, Sr. He grew up in Georgia, including a long residence on Jekyll Island. Jesse served in the Navy’s Amphibious Construction Battalion from 1965 to 1971. He was united in a second marriage to Elizabeth Ann Williams on August 6, 1984. After their marriage they resided in Nixa, MO. Jesse was a “community staple”, known for his sense of humor. He had a never-ending supply of jokes and humorous tales, and loved his dog, his beer, and his barbecue. He was an active hunter and fisherman, and was a sincere, loyal friend to all who knew him.

Preceding Jesse in death were his parents Louise and Jesse Bradley, Sr.
He is survived by his loving family, wife: Elizabeth Bradley of Nixa, Missouri; daughter: Jessica “Niki” Bradley; son: Tommy Bradley of Darien, Georgia; brothers: Bill Bradley and wife, Suzie, of Darien, Georgia and Bobby Bradley and wife, Wanda, of Euphala, Alabama; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him very much.

Memorial services will be held on Thursday, August 23, 10:00am, at the Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery. Flowers may be sent to Herman H. Lohmeyer Funeral Home.
